This is a Pilot 53R, a rather old model.
The nibs of Pilot pens from this era are soft and more flexible than current models.
Also, the clip is quite different from recent models, featuring a chrysanthemum clip.
The rubber sac has been replaced, and I've tested it with water; there were no leaks (see images).
It has been cleaned, but as it is a lacquer product, the cleaning was gentler than usual.
The 53R is an ebonite body with a lacquer finish.
Ebonite and lacquer models are only available in the high-end lines currently, with a minimum retail price of 110,000 yen for the 845.
The pen point is also beautifully preserved.
As it is an old item, please forgive any minor scratches or stains.
