Set of 3 Lewis Miller prints featuring the towns of Wythevile and Christainsburg Virginia originally drawn in the mid 19th century (1856 &1857). Lewis Miller was a 19th century folk artist known for his drawings of the landscape and daily life in the mid atlantic region. His original works hang in the Montgomery museum, the Smithsonian and have been Sold at Sotheby's. These 3 prints show case the houses and towns of his friends and family in Virginia originally drawn with ink and watercolor. They are in a 12"x14" wood from with a metallic border. the art itself is 6"x8" and is excellent condition with only some fading of the description written below the drawings. these prints were made in the 1970s and were likely framed at that time. the wood frames are in good condition but do have some wear. ( see pics)
